PostWysłany: Sob 22:16, 02 Lis 2013    Temat postu: www.corsodiesperanto.it/hoganit.html How To Ask Fo

This week I had cause to post a tweetout* for some help, and I was blown away by the response that I got from all sorts of people - some of whom I hadn't heard from in years.
It was all because I'm doing a talk for The London Business Crowd. The talk is about social media for business.
This is a subject I've spoken about www.corsodiesperanto.it/hoganit.html frequently in the past, so I'm comfortable with the content. However, what's different for me this time is that I'll have no AV equipment to use.
That means no powerpoint, no projector, no laptop and no projector screen. Uh oh!
I decided that to make the talk interesting, I still need to use visual elements, and I also need to make it engaging. I thought a visual analogy with props could work, but I couldn't think exactly how to do it.
So, I posted my tweetout to my twitter followers louboutin and posted the same request on my facebook and linkedin statuses.
I had received about a dozen responses via these peuterey outlet networks, and 2 phonecalls - one from a client and friend and one from somebody that I'd only connected with via twitter before.
All the responses were very helpful hollister france and I've now got a plan for going forward with the talk.
My tip: if you could use some help, ask for it!
Asking for help is a much underused method of getting the assistance that you need, and connecting with people.
You can ask hollister uk for help for any number of reasons:
* To generate ideas.
* Getting feedback on a new product, service, website or design.
* To promote your event or service.
* Selling tickets for your charity fundraiser.
* Getting responses to your market abercrombie milano survey.
The list can go on and on.
However, it's how you ask for the help that influences how much assistance you will receive.
Here's my 6 steps to asking for help:
1. Be a generous helper yourself.
You are more likely to get help when you ask for it, if you are generous in helping others always. What goes around comes around.
2. Be clear about what you want.
State specifically what sort of assistance you need and what for. Don't have any hollister outlet hidden agenda or you'll never get help again.
3. Tell people why you need the help.
Give them a reason why you are asking. This creates emotional investment and buy-in, and will double your response rate.
4. Be careful who you ask.
Ask people who are woolrich sito ufficiale kindly disposed towards you and people that you have previously helped. Don't ask those people who make their living from providing the support that you are seeking, as it's not fair to expect them to give up their money-making secrets for free unless there's something in it for them (e.g. huge PR exposure).
5. Make the request in the appropriate medium.
Twitter is full of requests for information, so people on twitter expect to see requests and are ready to answer them. However, if your request is large, e.g. for a charity competition prize, then a handwritten note, followed up with barbour deutschland a phone abercrombie pas cher call would work better.
6. Always say Thank You.
Not thanking people is the fastest way to dry up your source of jordan pas cher help and advice. Be prompt and gracious with your thanks, and if appropriate give www.tagverts.com/barbour.php a gift in return. This could be as simple as offering to share your notes with contributors, sending a card, or a box of chocs. People who get thanked nicely will go the extra mile to help you next time.
* = A tweetout is like a shout-out on Twitter. I'd like to think that I invented the term, but I'm probably deluding myself there.
